This is a beautiful, sturdy cabinet!!
And the Sullivan Company has been EXCELLENT to work with! I messed up putting my table together and they were so helpful in replacing a few pieces and hardware I needed…and they arrived within a few days!

  2. Susan

This table is a dream come true! It holds my lap top, serger and my smallest sewing machine. Every thing is now off my cutting mat and my large sewing machine table. The fact it has wheels makes it so practical. My sewing area is now perfect.

  3. Joe

I love my new quilter’s table. It’s a great size and closes up easily. Well worth the effort to put together. Can’t wait to get started.

  4. Belle Adele

Everyone seems to have a hard time putting this together based on the review….but I found it to be pretty simple to do by myself in only a couple hours. And you just cannot beat the price

  5. Kathy

Fairly easy to put together, for a 67 year old lady.

I like the table quite a bit, especially since I got it on sale. I had to take off a star bc of a few negatives: 1) the drawer slides are too short, so the drawer doesn’t slide out far enough; 2) assembly is long and tedious. The #1 screws – all 98 of them – are so tiny that it’s hard to position them. It says it’ll take 50 minutes to assemble. It took me over 3 hours; 3) the instructions rely mostly on drawings. The drawings are very hard to see. (For example, there is no indication of which way to direct the catch magnets. Not a big problem on the door frames but I had to reverse the back magnets after assembly.) I wish the website provided a crisper pdf version you could enlarge.

  7. Laura Feller

Thank you for your comment. It sounds like you may have been using an old copy of our instructions! Our updated version is much more detailed (lots of descriptions and includes magnet directions, etc) PLUS you can zoom in on the website’s PDF.

  8. Lori

This is an excellent sewing table for any sewer or quilter. It took some time to put it together, but worth it in the end. There is plenty of surface for ironing large quilt tops. I have sewn and quilted for 40 years, and would highly recommend this product.

  9. Jacqueline

It was a bit of a pain to put together, I definitely couldn’t have done it without my husband’s help.

  10. CatMo

Love the table, now that it’s set up. It was easy to unpack, and the items were all clearly labled. I love that. But the diagrams were confusing, sometimes showing the back side of the piece, sometimes the front, but I couldn’t figure out the drawing conventions to tell them apart. The locking cams were difficult to operate and I ended up splitting the laminate in many places. I still have no idea what they intended for the drawer – it just doesn’t seem like it would work. My husband ended up buying some additional cams and attaching it that way. But I love how it folds up, if needed. I love the storage area for my machine – I don’t need one that’s mechanical. I love the additional fold out table for the machine. I ADORE the gridded top! So in the end, after setup, very happy.

  11. Cecilia

I love this table. I read all of the reviews before purchasing it and had second thoughts but I am so glad that I ordered it. It did take me about 6 hours to put it together….by my self. It is just as sturdy as you make it because you are the one putting it together. If you get all of your screws tight and tighten all of the other connections then you have a very sturdy little table. I had hoped for something a little taller to make cutting easier but I am very happy with this table and think it will serve me well for a very long time.

  12. Betty

Great table. Just what I needed in my sewing room. I will buy the ironing pad and I will be able to get rid of my old board. I found the instructions easy to follow. I put the hinges on backwards, but other than that, it went together quicker than I thought. Thanks for a great product. It also shipped quickly.

  13. Jeri

Even though it took me almost 4 hours to put together-I was impressed with the end result. My only comment concerning the instructions was the direction of the magnetic holders needed to be clearer. I got on line and enlarged that part of the instructions so I would screw them on correctly. Thanks also for the quick delivery. Didn’t expect it so soon-nice surprise.

  14. Cheryl

Once it arrived and we got it put together, I realized it wasn’t quite what I was actually shopping for, but I am still very happy with it. I had thought it would be taller than a regular sewing desk but it’s not. I think in the long run it will actually serve me better. I will be able to move it around and utilize it for more than just measuring and cutting fabric; it will actually come more in handy than my original plans. I am very happy with the purchase and the construction is sturdy. I expect this table will last me a good long while. So far (I’ve only had it for a few days) it has already proven to be extremely useful!

  15. Beverly

I received it early,I opened the box and put it together all by myself..It was not hard at all…It is very roomy, love the cutting area on top…Built good, fits right where I want it….I recomend this table for quilters, sewers and crafters..its worth every penny…love it

  16. Judy

Because so many said the assembly instructions were horrible. I mean, who has time to deal with bad instructions. I am so happy I did not listen to the nay-sayers and bought this sewing cabinet. It is perfect! And not so hard to assemble. It just takes a little attention to detail – much like sewing!

  17. grammy

This was the perfect choice for my small sewing room. As with other comments, the instructions were challenging at first. After making a call to the company, I understood better. They were super nice and helped me with my questions. I would recommend this table.

  18. Jenny

The table is very well built. It’s compact but has a good amount of storage. It took about 2 hours to assemble because the instructions weren’t very helpful. Word of advice: Check the placement of the hinges. They don’t go the way you would normally place them. Once the table was assembled you could tell it was sturdy, clean, and the grid was bold and clear. Very nice!

  19. Wntrgrdns

    Perfect for what I need!
So far so good. Perfect height for me for cutting and storage for all my cutting tools.

  20. Babs

Love the table! My husband and myself laid all the prices out in order and then assembled it. Did take an hour and a half but was not difficult to do. Only thing I would suggest is make it clearer on which way hinges go.

  21. Jeanine

I would definitely buy this again!! Love the table wasn’t bad to put together, would definitely recommend to anyone

  22. Gege

perfect!!! I love this. lots of room but yet perfect size for where i need it.

  23. Patty

I purchased the Quilter’s Design Table and I just wanted to tell you what a quality piece of furniture this is! I’ve put together some pretty cheap stuff before, but this is entirely sturdy and functional. I was using a narrow card table for a computer table, and a wooden TV tray for a sewing table. After dropping the sewing machine twice, I’ve opted for this table. And it’s very convenient since I’m sewing internet patterns where the instructions are on the computer, I’m not wheeling my chair back and forth between computer and sewing.

I also wanted to comment on the documentation. I believe it was very well put together. Every piece was numbered and also described in the assembly manual. I was able to put this table together by myself. That said, I have a comment about a minor improvement to the documentation. Unless I missed it, I didn’t see that #21 (open end wrench) was mentioned. Now that I’m done, I see that it would have been used with the casters. Also, I had never seen cam bolts/locks before. Pretty cool. It would have been helpful to mention that the cam locks should be tapped into place so they are flush with the panel. I figured this out easily enough when the next instruction was to turn the panel over. Finally, I had to reinstall the hinges – better graphic/verbal description would have been beneficial to me. It wasn’t until the pieces were being attached together that I could see how the hinges were to be positioned.

I only send these documentation notes as a former writer of software documentation. I appreciated comments on my documents.

Thanks so much for a great product! Have a great day!

I got this for a Christmas gift. I was really nervous about putting it together. It was actually pretty easy. The instructions that came with it were ok, but I went on Sullivan website and they have much more detailed instructions. It didn’t take me very long to put together, you just have to be patient and read the instructions step by step in order. If you do that it is quite easy. There is only 1 downfall, the draw doesn’t open up very far. I think if it came with longer sliders for the draw it may open up farther, but final review this quilting table is well worth the money and time to put together
